About the Role
WAMC has an immediate opening for a Radio Control Room Operator. Hours are 5am - 1pm Saturday and Sunday. Applicant must be dependable, have reliable transportation, be a quick learner, work well under pressure, and be able to work holidays. Applicant will be fully trained on all aspects of operating our 29 station broadcast network.

Requirements
Sound judgement during news broadcasts.
Attention to detail.
Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines reliably.
Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to remain calm and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MAC OS.
Knowledge of audio and broadcast equipment and facilities preferred.
Knowledge of public radio distribution systems preferred.
Knowledge of Adobe Audition, or equivalent preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
