America's Greatest Heart Run/Walk and Healthy Hearts Campaign - WKTV-TV
For more than two decades, WKTV has partnered with the American Heart Association in late February and early March to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year through telethons, PSA campaigns, live event coverage, and more. In 2025 we broke away from the telethon model and instead ran an extended digital and broadcast campaign featuring with announcements focusing on heart healthy diets, stroke warning signs, and other helpful information, culminating with live reports from the Annual Heart Run/Walk and Expo at Utica University.

NFL Alumni Golf Tournament - WSTM/WTVH
CNYCentral teamed with the NFL Alumni Association Upstate New York Chapter to support The NFL Alumni Charity Classic at the Timber Banks Country Club in Baldwinsville. This fundraiser allows participants to play with NFL celebrities, while supporting a worthy cause. CNYCentral supported the event with on-air promotion on all our stations and news coverage leading up to the Classic and during the two-day event. This year’s event raised over $65 thousand dollars. The primary beneficiary was Davids Refuge in Syracuse, which provides support to parents of kids with special needs and life-threatening medical conditions. CNYCentral believes in being a positive force in the community. This is just one of the many organizations we support each year to enrich the lives of our local community.
