“(Rising Leaders) covered every corner of the broadcast world, dove deep into AI and the ‘new normal,’ and helped us lead with confidence, and trust, focusing on how to utilize the strengths we didn’t know we had. We’re all better for it.”

“We showed up as strangers and left with a group chat that’s pure chaos in the best way. The trust and support among us is unreal—and we have a network that will support us in the long run.”’

On our new podcast, NYSBA Talks, we interview Rising Leaders creator Marc Jaromin. Press play to learn more about the upcoming 2026 session!

Stone Grissom

News Director

"The Rising Leaders Fellowship delivers exactly what our industry needs right now: practical, high-level training in a format that actually allows for honest, meaningful discussion.

The MBA-style structure demystifies the business of broadcasting - from leadership and revenue to news operations, finance, and strategy - but what truly sets the program apart is the people and the dialogue. This wasn’t a lecture series; it was a working room of peers and mentors wrestling with real problems facing radio and TV today, from AI and audience growth to talent development and culture. I gained invaluable insight into how stations really run, but just as important, I gained a new circle of professional friends whose perspectives, experience, and support continue to strengthen me both professionally and personally.

Rising Leaders doesn’t just prepare you for the next job - it sharpens how you think, how you lead, and how you show up for your team and your industry."

Jackie Wieloszynski
Regional Digital Sales Manager

These past eight months have shaped me in ways I never expected. Every session, every workshop, every candid discussion pushed me to think bigger, lead smarter, and stretch myself in the best ways possible.

Homer Purdy
Operations Director

To say that I learned many things would be a gross understatement. I entered the program feeling overwhelmed and lacking in optimism for my career in radio. I left the program feeling excited about my future and the future of my radio stations.

Ryan Mott
News Director

Exceptional program. (Rising Leaders) brought a strong team together and created lasting bonds across the industry. Incredibly insightful material that revealed additional layers to the business outside of our specific areas of experience.
