NYSBA Board of Director Ed Levine to Retire from Galaxy Media

Long time NYSBA Board Member and Galaxy Media Partner CEO Ed Levine announced that he will retire later this year.  Ed built one of the most successful upstate New York media companies.  Starting in 1990, Galaxy Media Partners ultimately owned 15 radio stations in Central and Upstate New York.  Always the entrepreneur, he expanded beyond radio, becoming the host of tremendously successful live events.  His stations won numerous NYSBA Excellence Broadcasting Awards.  He received the Jim and Juli Boeheim Award for his longstanding commitment to community service.  His stations were named one of America’s Best Broadcasters by Radio Ink.

Beyond his business success, Ed Levine was a strong supporter of NYSBA.  For decades, he helped represent New York Broadcasters in Albany and Washington.  He was Chairman and served for years on the Executive Committee.  He founded the NYSBA Hall of Fame and chaired the Hall of Fame Committee.  His devotion to broadcasting in New York is unsurpassed.

While retiring from Galaxy Media Partners, Ed is already planning his next business moves.  In a recent press release Ed stated, “I believe the experiential media and live events industry have an incredibly bright future, and I intend to focus my efforts on building a new events company based in the Carolinas.”

We wish you all the best.  Thank you for your years of service to NYSBA.
