In a recent article in Radio Ink, BIA’s Nicole Ovadia noted that with the election over, advertising revenue may see a boost in 2025. She noted:
“A Republican victory in the White House very likely indicates that the next four years will be more “business friendly” than the last four years. Interest rates are likely to come down more quickly than previously expected as well. Therefore, Local Advertising in 2025 is likely to be stronger than previously expected.”
Ovadia stated further:
“Resolving election uncertainty quickly will be a positive boom for Advertising as consumers can now get started on their Holiday shopping and start to think about buying cars and houses sooner rather than later with interest rates likely to come down.”
Next year is an “off -year” for political advertising. Accordingly, we hope she is correct and the economy picks up.
