BEA Opens 2027 Awards and Grants Season

The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) has officially launched its 2027 awards and grants season, and New York's broadcast educators, students, and industry partners are encouraged to take note.

Beginning September 1, BEA is accepting nominations and applications across its full slate of recognition programs, including faculty awards, research and creative grants, book awards, teaching awards, and graduate student honors. The programs honor the educators and scholars who are shaping the next generation of broadcast professionals, and they offer meaningful support for research and creative work in the field.

BEA Executive Director Heather Birks is urging members to act early. Deadlines vary by program, so now is the time to review the opportunities, identify deserving colleagues, and begin planning submissions and nominations.

With so many of New York's colleges and universities home to strong broadcast and media programs, NYSBA encourages our members to share this news with the educators and students in their communities. Recognizing excellence in the classroom strengthens the pipeline of talent our stations depend on.
