About the Role
WBNG is looking for a bold, people-first News Director who lives for great storytelling, thrives on breaking news, and loves building the kind of newsroom where curious, creative journalists do the best work of their careers. You’ll partner closely with a General Manager who came up through the News Director ranks- someone who speaks “news”, backs strong journalism, and believes in coaching, collaboration, and winning the right way.
$60,000 - $70,000/yr. (DOE)
Requirements
• A college degree in broadcast journalism (preferred).
• Deep knowledge of community issues and sound, ethical journalistic principles.
• Proven ability to make clear, fast, and accurate decisions under pressure.
• A coaching mindset: you love developing people and building future leaders.
Experience
A minimum of 4 years of television news management experience (preferred).
