Help Stop Senate Bill S.1228C and Assembly Bill A.606B

Local radio and television station in New York serve their communities 24/7.  Every day they broadcast local news, weather, sports, and entertainment.  During emergencies,s they provide you with life-saving information.  Local stations are part of your community.  They are always there for you.

This may change if Albany adopts new advertising laws that will add more costs for local businesses.  The new law will essentially prevent businesses as well as local broadcasters from using new low-cost technologies to get their advertising messages out to local communities.

Ironically, the new rules may not even apply to Big Tech digital platforms because they are exempt.  Why give them special treatment?  They don’t serve local communities in New York.  Albany is out of touch.

Contact your New York State legislators today using the letter below. It will automatically go to your local state Senator and Assemblyperson.
