About the Role
WPIX is looking for a Sports Executive Producer who will lead the editorial, operational, and creative direction of the station’s sports coverage and sports-branded programming, including our late-night sports show. This leader will set and communicate a clear content strategy, manage daily and long-range planning, and ensure the team executes with consistency, creativity, and editorial excellence.
$140k-150k
Requirements
BA in Communications, Journalism, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Proven track record of operational excellence, including scheduling, long-term planning, and assignment management.
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and execute a show mission or brand vision.
Experience
7+ years of experience in sports broadcasting, news production, or related content leadership.
Minimum 3+ years managing teams of producers, anchors, or reporters in a live-production environment.
5+ years experience in a top-25 market with multiple major league teams.
