About the Role
The digital producer should be a skilled writer who can craft headlines and content that provide value to the audience and drive user engagement. The producer will use analytics data to make decisions about audience interest helping with website organization. The producer is the primary advocate for growing and directing off-platform participation among the digital editorial group. This person must be highly motivated with an ability to focus and re-focus on a constantly changing target.
$16.50/hour commensurate with applicant’s experience and skill level.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism; news website experience required; live, working web samples preferred
· Proficiency in AP Style, Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Express, Canva and other graphical software preferred
· Adobe Analytics and Google Trends experience a plus
· Familiarity with OBS preferred
· Maintain positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments
· Responds positively to feedback
Experience
· Develops and leads winning strategy for station content
· Expert understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok
· Reviews copy and will correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines
· Utilize social media and station website to build and reinforce brand recognition
· Research and analyze background information related to news stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information
