About the Role
WROC/RochesterFirst is hiring a Weekend Morning News Anchor/MMJ to join our award-winning team. With the credibility and strength of our 75-year trusted brand, WROC/RochesterFirst is Rochester, NY’s universal local source for news, weather, and information across all platforms.
Compensation $39,000 to $44,000 annualized commensurate with applicant’s experience and skill level.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Fluency in English
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to communicate (written and oral), across all platforms and to ad lib when required
Experience in news reporting or anchoring preferred
Experience
Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to effectively listen to fully understand problems and communicate with a team to shape a solution
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Flexibility to work any shift.
