About the Role
Eyewitness News seeks a Maintenance Engineer – Field Operations. The successful candidate must be a skilled individual adept at the latest technology in Electronic News Gathering to provide seamless, uninterrupted maintenance of equipment in order to ensure quality broadcasts. They should also exhibit an aptitude for an ever-changing news environment, problem-solving, the ability to adjust to meet deadlines, and the ability to work collaboratively with newsroom managers and the assignment desk to provide coverage commensurate with the number one television station in the country.
COMPENSATION: $60.025 per hour.
Requirements
Thorough knowledge of field equipment including but not limited to Broadcast and/or Digital video cameras, wireless/hardwire mics and IFB, field lights, and supporting equipment.
Ability to work various shifts and weekends to support event coverage and location-based productions. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience
Minimum of five years of experience working in a news environment with the ability to work independently, be adaptable to last-minute changes, and meet strict deadlines.
Must have experience working on ENG equipment within live trucks
Have experience with RF equipment such as broadcast transmitters, microwave equipment, etc.
