These segments aired on our program, WPBS Weekly, from January to September. They are also available on our social media sites.

No Rent / No Mortgage Contest - WBLH
Tunes92.5 & 104.5 FM created and ran a new contest called the 'No Rent/No Mortgage' contest wherein, you guessed it, winners will have their rent or mortgage paid in full by our financial partners, Northern Credit Union. Four winners are picked at random and each winner has three months covered regardless of whether they are an N.C.U. member or not. The contest is open to all with no restrictions. For entry, TUNES and partners received upwards of 3,400 entries in a 6-week period. Four winners at three months a piece is the equivalent of twelve months of free rent/mortgage for an NNY family (max payout is $3,000 per winner for a total of $12,000). On a personal note, the station has been looking to run this contest for over a decade and finally found a local partner to also believe in the positive impact that type of payment relief could make for a local family or four!

Our local partners include the Community Action Planning Council, Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Kiwanas, Watertown Urban Mission, and several local churches. To date, TUNES 92.5 & 104.5 FM has collected gifts for Christmas morning for more than 10,000 NNY children and parents.
The ‘Local Legendz’ Campaign - WBLH
Host of our 'In the Mix With Quince' afternoon show, Mykel 'Quince' Myrick invented, branded, and executes a segment every Thursday at 2:15pm called the 'Local Legendz' show presented by non-profit partner Holdown Upstate (non-profit started by Mykel himself). The show/PSA segment features three different 'New York only' bands, musicians, singers, or songwriters on the air free of charge. The featured artist receives a free on-air/online interview as part of the segment. They also receive the ability to play/perform live, push local appearances/gigs, talk about new music/content, and also allow the NNY market to learn about booking info.
Artists see a large and positive boost to their brand awareness, booking opportunities, and merch sales. All aspects of the segment are completely free of charge to the artists. The 'Local Legendz' segment just celebrated its 100th episode in July of 2023. Featured artists have appeared at the great New York State Fair and at a local music festival called 'Brew-York." A secondary stage for the first time ever was built called the 'Local Legendz' stage and featured artists who had appeared on the air for the segment.
