Serving New York - Community Luncheon Schedule

Description:

Every day, radio and television stations across the Empire State perform countless acts of service to their local communities. Serving New York is a new campaign sponsored by the New York State Broadcasters Association, which will encourage stations to not only conduct public serve activities but document them as well. We need to help policy makers in Washington and Albany understand the important role stations play in their communities. The campaign will have two major components:

Local Outreach and Awards

NYSBA will host a series of regional luncheon receptions in markets across the state. The receptions will run from 12 noon to 1:30. There will be no charge for these receptions. Our schedule for these luncheon receptions is as follows:

November 14, 2012:
New York City
Waldorf Astoria Hotel
301 Park Avenue, NY

November 15, 2012:
Long Island
Blackstone Steakhouse
10 Pinelawn Road, Melville

So mark you calendars. NYSBA will recognize and provide awards to all stations that attend.

We will be providing you with more information, including the location of the luncheons shortly. For additional information, contact Mary Anne Jacon at majacon@nysbroadcasters.org.
