Description: Reporting to the Controller, the Deputy Controller, Financial Reporting, Analysis and Revenue Management will directly oversee all internal and external financial and management reporting including financial accounting, tax and investment reporting; revenue management reporting including federal and state grants and foundation reporting.

The Deputy Controller will also review and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls in grant administration, assist in the coordination and management of the monthly, quarterly and year end financial close process, variance and flux analysis as well as coordination with the external auditors and other outside entities.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidated financial statements; provide financial status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data.
• Coordinate the annual audit, including preparation of financial statements and analyses.
• Oversee all tax accounting and reporting, including the preparation of the IRS Form 990, applicable state and local filings.
• Oversee the process where budgets are prepared and submitted to government agencies and other funding sources comply with all grant and government requirements. Analyze grant receivable levels on a monthly basis.
• Develop system to track all grants where reporting is required to ensure that project is tracking to budget and make necessary adjustments, including the submission of revised budgets to the appropriate funding source.
• Work closely with the Financial Planning department on the annual budgeting process as well as in-year forecasting.

To qualify, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience along with a minimum of 8 years of demonstrated, solid accounting and financial management experience; previous experience in a non-profit setting and CPA preferred. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and OMB Circulars A-110, A-122 and A-133.

Additional qualifications include:
• Strong Advanced technical experience in the use of financial software to develop and maintain automated financial systems.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify technical and non-technical problems and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Demonstrated management skills with the ability to manage results against audit and control procedures.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, the ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment and decision-making and leadership skills to effectively direct and motivate a multi-level diverse staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the Company, governmental agencies, auditors and other external contacts.
