| Description: | This position provides marketing support to our 5 Station NY Cluster. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working strategically, creatively and innovatively to further our stations core objectives – maximize ratings and revenue growth. Candidate will work directly with the Director of Marketing and the promotional/marketing team. Focus areas include: (1) Partnership Planning – Coordinate media and 3rd party partnership barter including trend assessments, pitches, presentations and reporting. (2) Media Relations – Write and distribute press announcements, field media calls, fulfill media requests, and liaise with corporate communications. (3) Creative – Interface with cluster and corporate creative on collateral, logos and presentation materials. (4) Brand Strategy – Support and communicate, as needed, research and audience profile overviews. (5) Events – Support station and/or cluster controlled or supported events. (6) Administrative – coordinate contract and legal signoffs; artist, event, vendor, venue, etc. Requirements/Skills: MUST HAVE 2-3 YEARS EXPERIENCE in public relations, communications or marketing, with genuine interest and passion for media, entertainment, and current lifestyle trends (music, TV, food, clothing, etc.); extraordinary written and verbal communication skills A MUST; demonstrated knowledge of promotional platforms and tools; highly organized, detail-oriented, strategic and creative thinker; should work well in and enjoy a fast-paced environment; be skilled multi-tasker able to juggle multiple projects with ease; a person with a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and can easily coordinate tasks with all personality types; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
